It may be considered puppy love, but the irresistible bond between these two stray pups has captured the hearts of many on social media.
Following their adoption by Buddhist nuns in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, the inseparable duo has been captivating viewers with their heartwarming displays of affection. The larger pup can be observed embracing his smaller companion with his paws, standing guard by a shrine situated within the temple.
In another snapshot, the canine pair can be seen striking a Zen pose beside a Buddhist statue, presumably taking notes on meditation from an expert.
Following their abandonment on the streets of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, the two pups were given a new chance at life after being welcomed into the temple’s care.
The photographs have sparked a flurry of activity on the social media platform Weibo, with numerous comments from individuals raving about the adorable pups.
As per one commentator, “Given that the dogs now reside in the temple, they must meditate in the same manner as the nuns do.” Others expressed their indignation at the previous owners who had abandoned the puppies to their fate.
“How can anyone be so heartless? If they couldn’t look after the dogs, they should never have bought them!” exclaimed a social media user in response to the mistreatment of the pups. Nevertheless, there are mixed reactions on social media that have raised doubts about the authenticity of the puppies’ sad story. “It was a monk from the Bao Hoa Son Temple in Khanh Hoa Province who rescued them,” asserted one Twitter user as an alternative account.
Mira Eleonora Pantazopol Lordanescu, from the Faculty of Linguistics in Bucharest, challenged the previous account and offered a different perspective: “Those puppies were actually born at the temple in Vietnam, but the reality is far from heartwarming. They were forced to cling to each other for survival and warmth because they were neglected by their mother, who was also a stray.”
