A street cat appeared on the threshold of a private house and wasn’t going to leave anywhere. The red cat seemed to be hiding its paws from people, which surprised the owners of the house.But as soon as they approached the animal, they immediately understood the reason.
There were deep injuries on its front paws that didn’ot allow the animal to walk normally. The cat needed urgent veterinary care, so the owners of the house immediately took him to the animal rescue center.
The red cat was named Buster and he was about 10 years old.
The cat looked sick and scared. An examination by the veterinarian confirmed that every step brought Buster a sharp pain. After all the tests, the veterinarians confirmed that the cat had plasmacytic pododermatitis. This disease isn’t common, and it leads to softening and swelling of the pads of the palate, the appearance of ulcers on them, which eventually begin to bleed.
Buster was given daily antibiotics and bandages.
During the dressings, Buster loudly «sang», as if encouraging the doctors and showing them that he understood the importance of treatment.
The active treatment brought results and Buster was able to overcome the disease. The staff of the center immediately started looking for a new home for the cat.
According to those who have taken care of Buster, he has a calm and affectionate nature, which makes him an ideal pet.
Two months after Buster came to the doorstep of someone else’s house, he finally got his own, where he lives with loving owners.
