Homeless musician James met ginger cat Bob, and the cat changed his life forever.

One evening a man returned home and found a gingerbread cat in the hall. James decided that it was one of the neighbors’s pets, so he just closed the door, leaving the kitty outside. However, the cat came the next day and the day after.

Bowen examined the fluffy and did not find either a collar or a dog tag, but he saw that the unfortunate one had injured his paw and needed treatment.

And then James decided to help the cat himself, whom Bob named after the character who personified evil in the mystical series Twin Peaks.

“Cats are well known for being picky and selective. They choose who to give their love to. If a cat doesn’t like its human, it will leave and find someone else.”

By meeting a being in an even more pitiful situation than himself, James received inner strength. He cured the cat’s paw and cured the cat of the infected fleas.

Unlike his freedom-loving brothers, Bob did not even think of leaving, but willingly accompanied James on his tour to Covent Garden, sitting proudly and calmly on the musician’s shoulder during performances.

Bowen’s concerts began to attract more viewers who willingly filmed videos and posted them on YouTube, and James (and Bob!) had fans who came to the garden specifically for these two.

After Bowen was interviewed for a local newspaper, Bowen decided to write a book about his fateful meeting with Bob and met his future literary agent.

A simple story has conquered the planet. James’ book «A Street Cat Named Bob» has been translated into many languages of the world, from Russia to Japan.
