When a New Hampshire police officer saw a bear and cubs on the highway, he immediately stopped traffic. But the family’s journey took longer than the policeman expected.
When the female bear and her three cubs crossed the road, one was left in the middle of the road. She returned to him several times, but the cub would not move. In the end, she had to take the three cubs into the forest and leave the fourth on the road.
The bear cub turned out to be sick and weak. The policeman took him to a rehabilitation centre. On the same day, another bear cub was found in the woods, who had also fallen behind the others. The mother bear had five cubs in all.
“When the cubs are stronger, they will be returned to the wild,” the policeman said.
