Gunner is a dog of the Golden Retrievers breed that is a very lovable, intelligent, friendly dog that loves to make new friends. Usually a dog’s best friend is another dog, but Gunner has a dolphin best friend named Delta.
The duo have been close friends since Gunner was eight weeks old and Delta was four. Although their friendship is a made-up fairy tale, recent photos on Twitter have gone viral.
A guy named Ken aka @_woolyback tweeted a picture of Gunner giving the dolphin Delta a passionate and steamy kiss. Attached to the photo, Ken wrote, “Sorry to interrupt, important news.” After a while, this photo has been liked by more than 1.3 million people and hundreds of thousands of people have shared about it.
One woman, @mz_jolene, responded to the tweet by saying: “I love this! My heart has been very heavy lately but this makes it so much lighter. We need LOVE right now! “Thank you.
Delta currently lives at the Dolphin Research Center in Grassy Key, Florida. Gunner the dog has been coming and hanging out with his finned friend since the very beginning. People who work at the Center have shared a back-up picture of the couple so followers can see how their friendship develops.
