Once, 14-year-old Dayton, together with his 12-year-old brother, returned to their Texas home after a walk.A couple of hours before evening, they went for a walk in the forest and suddenly stumbled upon an animal’s hole, which was already collapsed, but it turned out that it was not empty.
They saw a raccoon that was about a meter underground and immediately called their father, as it was obvious that the living creature was simply buried there.
It remains a mystery how long he stayed there, but the children discovered the animal just in time. Then, the father of the children already told that at the moment when they saw him, the unfortunate man gasped for air and it was very sad to see.
The brothers, seeing raccoon’s state, decided for sure that they would definitely save the animal and were adamant about this.The father, along with his sons, carefully dug up the animal with a shovel and hands, and then called the Texas Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, who sent rescuers.
The raccoon was safe and sound and, as a result, was released. The father, later, said that he was very proud of his children for their indifference.
