Luck smiled at the charming pit bull and he was rescued after he was no longer needed by his former owners. He was tied to a tree in the middle of a Brooklyn park with a note next to him. Fortunately, a kind person noticed the dog in time and rescued her.
Eric Maus a 28-year-old young man who lives nearby, was walking the two dogs he cared for in the park when he spotted Mamas, a 7-year-old pit bull chained to a tree. Eric first looked for the dog’s owners, but no one was to be seen.
Coming closer he was surprised to see a note hanging from a tree. The dog was just as friendly and sweet as she was, so Eric immediately approached her.
He found from a note next to the dog, Eric learned that her name was Mamas and she was 7 years old, and then the message followed: “Take me home. I am a great dog.
Don’t let my size scare you. I’m sweet.» It was then that Eric realized that he had stumbled upon an abandoned dog and he needed to do something, but had no idea where to start. However, he decided to help Mamas.
Eric didn’t know what to do, but really wanted to help, so he took a couple of pictures with him and posted them on his Facebook page.
Despite being dehydrated Mamas looked so happy when he arrived at the rescue center. He simply felt that he was in good hands and most importantly finally released from the chain.
Once Mamas is fully vaccinated and treated, the pit bull can be adopted and Eric who rescued him hopes that the dog will find the loving family he undoubtedly deserves.
