For the first time, a strange-looking animal in the American city of Ocean Springs was noticed back in January – the animal wandered around a pet store. As it seemed to the locals then, it was almost completely devoid of wool.
A long and painful treatment began. The animal was in pain, but after a warm, soapy bath and treatment of wounds, he felt better.
After the procedures, the raccoon – now there was no doubt that it was him – acquired a completely different look. It took several more weeks of round-the-clock care for the disease to recede.
In the center, the new ward was given a name – Hobo. Now he lives outdoors in a separate enclosure. It has two swimming pools and trees for a recovering raccoon to climb.
Every day, the service staff combed his overgrown hair and cleaned his healing wounds. Hobo came to life. He runs and plays a lot and is getting stronger.
According to experts, the animal has a good chance of a full recovery. After the cure, he will be returned to wildlife, where he will live out his life strong and free. The meeting with the saviors divided Hobo’s life in two.
He had only a few days left, but the love and indifference of people who are sincerely passionate about their work created a miracle.
