This adorable therapy dog knows that in such difficult times for the whole world, some people need his presence and support. And no matter what happens, he is always ready to help. The pet will be there despite everything.
Recently, a dog named Tonka regularly visited residents of a nursing home in Texas. Surprisingly, the animal brought joy to everyone who interacted with it.
Due to the latest circumstances and the coronavirus epidemic, the leadership threatened to interdict these meetings. The old people living in the institution have limited contacts with the outside world.
Luckily, Tonka and his handler, Sarah Peters, figured out a way to get around the ban.
Usually Tonka always entered the building to the pensioners, but this time he greeted them standing under the windows. He let them know that despite being isolated they were not alone.
The dog feeling that these people really needed him was happy to help. The residents of the nursing home looked at the guest with tears in their eyes. They were infinitely grateful to the animal for its kind heart.
Sarah says that some pensioners even put their hands on the window pane to let the pet know that they were happy for his presence.
This won’t be Tonka’s last visit to the nursing home. As long as the situation with the coronavirus forces people to sit in isolation, he will continue to visit them. There must be something to cheer up the pensioners.
