Dog who waited 279 days for adoption gets excited about his first family photo

Malcolm was taken to the Michigan Animal Sanctuary when he was seen roaming the streets, and when he arrived, no one knew anything about his background. However, Malcolm turned out to be a fast learner and it didn’t take long for everyone to realize what an incredible dog he was.

When people entered his kennel, he often greeted them with a toy in his mouth, jumping in a circle and joyfully shaking his backside. It was always easy to introduce new volunteers to him, one had only to feed him goodies.

With such a personal charm, everyone was sure that it would not take long for Malcolm to find the very best hosts, but, unfortunately, this was not the case, and he soon became the longest-serving resident of the shelter.

Day after day, Malcolm watched other dogs being adopted while he was still waiting. Luckily, he didn’t seem to mind living in an orphanage, and fit into the schedule for it all pretty quickly. He became very close to all the staff and volunteers, and that is how he found his eternal home.

He made friends with all the volunteers and they simply adored him and sometimes even took him home.

When the day finally came for Malcolm to hit the road with his new permanent family, everyone was excited. Even Malcolm seemed to sense that this was a special day, and when it came time for his first family photo to be taken, his smile spoke louder than words.
