Police officers from Southampton (New York, USA) learned that a small seal was crawling in a parking lot from a local resident. When they arrived, the police tried to catch the baby seal, but he did not want to be caught.
A resident of Southampton saw a seal crawling aimlessly on the asphalt in the parking lot of a store. The man reported it to the police.
When police arrived at the scene, they found a baby seal. The kid apparently got out of the ocean and made his way into the city at night.
The police officers wanted to catch the fugitive, but it wasn’t there. Apparently, the baby seal didn’t want to be caught. Seeing the police, he tried to escape with all possible haste.
Fortunately, after some time the seal was caught and now he is «taken into custody and is serving a sentence» in the Marine Research Foundation.
Specialists are now determining whether the seal is healthy and can be sent back home.
