Here is a mommy dog that is a stray one from Buenos Aires, Argentina and with a golden heart.
The street dog had just given birth to a litter of puppies and was doing everything she could to care for them when she came across another person in need of assistance.
Way, the dog, had always survived on the streets, but now she had a lot more mouths to feed.
So she combed the neighborhood for any food she could find.
She needed to hurry because it was winter in Argentina.
Way stumbled upon a newborn human infant in an alley, evidently abandoned by its mother.
The dog’s mother instincts kicked in, and she recognized that the newborn need warmth.
Way returned to her puppies and carried them one by one around the infant.
The newborn’s screams were heard the next morning by a resident named Alejandria Griffin.
When she walked outside to investigate, she was completely taken aback by what she saw.
A stray dog had adopted an abandoned infant as her own. She quickly dialed 911 for assistance.
The infant, now called Santino, was brought to the hospital for immediate medical assistance.
Alejandria narrated the story of the stray, and the doctors believe the infant would have died if it hadn’t been for the dog’s brave acts.
Santino was in excellent form for everything he’d gone through, due in large part to Way’s excellent care.
Police ultimately tracked down the baby’s mother, a 33-year-old Buenos Aires lady with eight other children.
She was detained and accused with abandoning her newborn child.
